Last summer I trained for my first half marathon. I tried to think of ways to help with my training and so I though that I'd organize a family fun run and invite all my family to come and engage in some exercise while being together. So that was last year and we held our 2nd annual fun run last night. I think we've started a tradition. Some walk, some run, and some ride their bikes. We go 3.1 miles along the Jordan River Parkway Trail and I think it's a lot of fun. I love this first picture and all the big grins that are on the kids faces. They're all so cute! Thanks to my family for coming to my annual event and sharing in the fun. Here's a picture of us all before the 3.1 miles.

When my family got home that night, my little Sage told everyone to look under their pillows. She had put envelopes under everyones pillows and in our envelopes were badges she had made everyone that said "YOU WON"! How stinkin' cute is she? She must have done that while I was taking 5 on the couch earlier that day. Love that girl!
We had a great time so till next years run...

What a great idea--I love the Hammonds! I just returned from the church in Bluffdale on the big hill. I told my family you and I scratched our initials and "BFF" into the merry-go-round when we were 10. A few minutes later my nephew returned and said, "It's no longer there." :)
Wow, those are some great pictures. I so wish we could have been there. Were there any shirts ripped off at the finish line this year?;) Thanks for starting such a fun tradition. I hope it lives on forever, or at least until we return in a few years. Love ya!

I love that Sage. Good for you guys and your healthy ways. I think we might need something like that in our family traditions. Way to go Hammonds!
That is such a great idea! And even better that everyone will do it! And what a cutie Sage is! We still need to get her and Gabriell together...Gabriell needs to get together with the girls in the neighborhood this summer. So I haven't been running with you guys yet...:/ I don't know if you have gone lately, but I plan on coming next week...this week has been kind of rough for me.
